CULTURE CATCH-UP
THE CROWD GOES WILD: Heated Rivalry Secures Its U.S. Release
One of the most anticipated gay romance adaptations of the year Heated Rivalry, the story of two rival hockey stars secretly in love is finally coming to the U.S.
Originally produced for Canadian TV, HBO Max just announced it will premiere the series on Nov. 28 with a two-episode drop.
Expect sweaty locker rooms, enemies-to-lovers angst, and enough queer sports drama to melt the ice.
Gay Twitter is ready.
EAGER BEAVER: Disney’s Gayest Character Ever Is Coming
Move over LeFou and whatever blink-and-you-miss-them “historic” cameo Disney has tried to sell us before.
Zootopia 2 is introducing Nibbles Maplestick, a jorts-wearing beaver voiced by Fortune Feimster and he may be the most overtly queer-coded Disney character yet.
The internet? Losing it.
The memes? Already iconic.
DANCING QUEENS: Jonathan Bailey Finds His Gays on Sesame Street
Newly crowned “Sexiest Man Alive” Jonathan Bailey visited Sesame Street and of course he found the gayest corner of the neighborhood.
He danced, twirled, and lived his best queer life with roommates Bert and Ernie, and the girls (meaning us) are absolutely screaming.
Wholesome queer joy? Inject it directly.
NO BUDDY WANTS THIS: Texas Targets… Buddy Holly?
Texas officials are on an unhinged crusade to erase LGBTQ+ street art, but this time they’re going after a crosswalk honoring Buddy Holly, a straight icon whose horn-rimmed glasses simply appear too “queer” for the state’s fragile lawmakers.
Yes. Really.
We can’t make this stuff up.
WIG?! The Hunting Wives Adds Queer Faves to Season 2
Netflix’s surprise sapphic smash hit The Hunting Wives is back in production with new series regulars Karen Rodriguez and Hunter Emery joining Brittany Snow, Malin Åkerman, and the rest of the glam-gone-wrong cast.

BLOOP: Grindr, Sniffies, and AI Dating on the Gay Internet

We will always choose violence… in the form of gay murder mysteries.
IN THE DEEP END: Kristen Stewart’s Directorial Debut
Kristen Stewart’s first feature directing project, The Chronology Of Water, adapts the queer memoir of swimmer/author Lidia Yuknavitch.

Stephen Fry co-stars, and the buzz already whispers:
Oscars. Best Live Action Short. Keep an eye out.
