A Fresh Format: Top 50 and Rising 50
In previous years, RawCocktails highlighted the 100 most powerful and influential LGBTQ people in sports based solely on current status. This year, the list will be divided into two categories:

- Top 50: The Most Powerful LGBTQ People Shaping Sports Today. These are the individuals with the greatest influence across major pro and college sports organizations, media outlets, and beyond.

- Rising 50: A celebration of trailblazers and emerging figures who may not yet have the same level of power but are undeniably making their mark. This section will feature people not highlighted in prior years, giving space to new voices and faces.
This dual structure ensures the Power 100 reflects not only the established leaders but also the next generation of LGBTQ figures breaking barriers.
Recognizing Influence Across Sports
RawCocktails acknowledges that defining “power” in sports is tricky. Comparing influence in the NBA, NFL, WNBA, NWSL, MLS, NHL, and college athletics across both men’s and women’s leagues is no simple task. Still, the Power 100 strives to capture a broad picture of LGBTQ visibility.
