Brolesque Brings Camp, Heat, and Queer Magic to New York City Nightlife

A Bold New Take on Nightlife Entertainment

New York City has always been a hub for unforgettable nightlife, from Broadway stages and Michelin-star dining to high-energy clubs. Now, the city is buzzing with a one-of-a-kind all-male strip show — Brolesque — blending burlesque artistry with unapologetic queer expression. Every Thursday at 10 PM, the Balcon Salon in Hell’s Kitchen transforms into a theatrical playground where humor, sensuality, and show-stopping choreography collide.

More Than Just Stripping

Brolesque isn’t just about eye candy — it’s an immersive, hour-long spectacle. Their current production, Fortune of Love, takes audiences on a mystical journey through tarot cards, hosted by a magnetic MC guiding the crowd toward their “Mr. Right” or perhaps just “Mr. Right Now.” With dazzling choreography, tongue-in-cheek humor, and magnetic performers, the show elevates the art of strip performance to an entirely new level.

The Creative Power Behind Brolesque

At the heart of the production is Lockhart Brownlie, a choreographer whose résumé includes global icons like Katy Perry, Britney Spears, and Taylor Swift. With his creative direction, Brolesque shines as more than just entertainment — it’s a celebration of queer desire, community, and fearless self-expression. The star lineup includes Christopher Patterson-Roso, Felipe Ocampo, Gabriel Reyes, and Jason Carroll — performers who embody the “show-gay” spirit with energy and charisma.

From the West Coast to Hell’s Kitchen

Brolesque was originally born on the West Coast, premiering at Strut in Orange County before electrifying audiences in West Hollywood. Since its 2023 New York debut, the troupe has taken the show on the road, touring hotspots like Wilton Manors, Puerto Vallarta, Las Vegas, and Fire Island’s legendary Ice Palace. Yet, the two-story Balcon Salon remains its true home, boasting state-of-the-art lighting, an elevated stage, cozy seating, and a lively daily happy hour that keeps audiences in high spirits.

A Queer Celebration Every Week

For Brownlie and his cast, Brolesque is more than a performance — it’s an unapologetic statement of queer joy, sexuality, and artistry. As the choreographer put it, “We created Brolesque to celebrate queer desire, movement, and connection without apology.” Each Thursday night, audiences leave Balcon Salon with more than just a show — they leave with an unforgettable experience.
